Simply pry out the chrome ring with a thin flat bladed screwdriver tip. Turn the phone over to have the trackball module drop out of the phone. Place the new trackball module into the Blackberry phone with the shiny connectors to the left/ right sides, not up/ down. Place the shiny ring with the three flanges to the sides and bottom, leaving no flange at the top, then press firmly into the keyboard over the trackball module.
